We have 2 indies females Hope (15 months) and Bliss (11 months). We adopted Hope when she was around 40-45 days as she was very ill and Bliss when she was 3 months and had her leg crushed by a car. We reached out to Naved at Dogobey as Bliss has a very serious chewing problem and had destroyed everything in our house from sofas chairs matress electronics shoes clothes bedsheets, basically anything she could get hold of. The thing was that it wasnt improving with age and no amount of exercising scolding or anti chew spray was helping- she even chewed the anti chew spray bottle! There is an authority dog park near our house and they run for 1-1.5 hour daily in the park but still Bliss had this excess energy that she would chew stuff at home. Second major problem was that Bliss would try to dominate over Hope and not let her enter our bedroom. Although they are very good with each other but for some reason entry to our room for Hope when Bliss was already on bed with us became a huge problem. Bliss also had a problem of trying to dominate new dogs coming to the dog park. She was good with her friends but didnt like new dogs and became very scared or aggressive towards them even though she is little in size. They both are both very energetic and excited dogs so for both of them the other problems of course were like leash pulling and getting excited and jumping on guests or delivery people. Also getting too excited and growling or barking in the lift as soon as the door opened. Now in the first week of training, the leash pulling, lift problem and guest entry situation got resolved significantly. Now they are very calm when guests come. Walking them has become so easy now. We can also easily bring them inside or out of the lift and they sit the whole time in the lift and wait for us to walk out first. Also no lunging towards people now as they wait for the lift to open. Bliss dominating over Hope and not letting her enter the bedroom has surprisingly resolved after the training as Bliss now looks up to us as leaders and this is a major relief for us. We are able to control them when they pass by dogs even if the other dog is aggressive. Occasionally they do bark back or lunge back at dogs but we have got the skills to immedeatly make them calm and control them. Bliss is comfortable around dogs now though she still dosent like face to face interaction with new dogs but her general level of confidence and calmness around dogs that we see now was something we never imagined could happen. Now the most important one -Chewing which was the main issue why we had reached out to Naved in the first place. This has also significantly reduced. Draining them up physically along with the tips suggested by Naved to stop destructive chewing has helped us a lot. If i had to put a number, then definetly chewing has improved by 80 -90% and it seems it will go away completely now seeing her progress. Finally after a wait of 6 months, we actually plan to order new stuff for the house! Thanks to Naved our loving puppies are not just loving and cute today but they are disciplined and calm as well.
